For those not familiar with me my name is Ashley and I am 24 years old.  I grew up in sunny Fresno, California and after many years of the sun I headed to snowy Ohio to receive my college education. I attended Franciscan University of Steubenville and obtain my BSN in Nursing. Well, after I enjoyed the snow for a bit it was time to head back home and put my nursing degree to work.  

I spent the next two years working on a medical-surgical floor and a cardiac progressive care unit. Where I learned many valuable lessons as a nurse and in life. I was content at my job but my heart desired for something more...

 Why leave a good job and comfortable life? Why come to Honduras…well it’s simple God has called me…OKAY not that easy. it took me 6 years to come here full-time.

 Since, 2007 I have had the desire and felt the call to be a missionary and work in Honduras. Thanks be to God after some  time I "dropped my net and followed." (Matthew 4:18-20)

I will be spending the next two years in Comayagua, Comayagua Honduras serving the poor. I am working with the company Missioners of Christ, who are based in Virginia Beach, Virginia.http://www.missionersofchrist.org. Here I will be working as a nurse at the San Benito Clinic and evangelizing in the community.

Now I can say that I am following my dreams and I am excited to see what the further holds!
